Crater Lake – Oregon

Crater Lake, Oregon

Crater Lake, formed by the collapse of a volcanic cone, is the deepest lake (1,946/593m) in the United States, and the ninth deepest lake in the world. Crater Lake’s striking color results from the water’s purity—the lack of sediments, algae, etc. There are about 4.6 trillion gallons of water in the lake. https://www.nps.gov/crla/faqs.htm
